One Day Seminar in the Dr. Reijntjes School for the Deaf with the Principal and Teachers from the Sri Sudarshi School for the Deaf in Bandarawela on

It was a beautiful Monday morning, when at 10.30 a.m. the bus arrived with 21 staff members from the Deaf School in Bandarawela.
After a welcome speech by the Principal of the Dr. Reijntjes School for the Deaf, Mrs. Tineke de Silva, tea & cake was served. In 3 groups of 7 people they made an excursion tour through the School Classes and Buildings. The 10 Class teachers explained their teaching methods to the guests. There was a special interest for our modern IT Centre with special software programmes for our deaf children.
A Special Documentary Film about the School was shown to the guests. Before the lunch we organized group’s discussions about new methods of teaching deaf children in Sri Lanka.
