School Concert for the Parents and other Guests on 8th December 2011

It was a wonderful morning when the deaf pupils of the Dr. Reijntjes School for the Deaf performed 10 new dances for an audience of 250 people.
The School Garden was an ideal place for all these colourful dances. The parents reacted emotionally, some were crying when they saw their own child dancing.Among the speakers was Mr. Chandratilleke, Board member of the Dr. Reijntjes School for the Deaf Trust and Dr. Jegaruban, Mental health Officer of the Moratuwa District Hospital talked about the mental health of the deaf pupils. He comes once a month to the Deaf School for counseling.
When the show was over there was a lunch for all the deaf children, their family members and guests.There was also an exhibition in the Training Centre with beautiful handicrafts, made by the pupils. After the lunch all the deaf children went home with their parents for the holidays.
