July 28, 2011, 6:28 AM
The deaf children of the Dr. Reijntjes School for the Deaf were making Vesak Lanterns for the Vesak Celebrations on May 27 and 28.
Vesak is a Buddhist Festival. It falls on the full moon day in May. It commemorates the birth, enlightenment and the passing away of Lord Buddha.
The Buddhists are decorating their houses with light bulbs and Vesak Lanterns. You can find everywhere stalls with free drinks and meals during the Festival.
