Celebration of the Coronation of King Willem Alexander on April 30th, 2013.
The deaf pupils of the Dr. Reijntjes School for the Deaf celebrated the Coronation of King Willem Alexander on April 30th, 2013.
The Deaf School was beautiful decorated with orange balloons and Dutch flags. The pupils made an orange cake during the cookery class the previous day. It was served with Dutch flags on top. Further there was an orange drink and as a present the pupils got an orange pen.
There is a close contact between the Dr. Reijntjes School for the Deaf and the Dutch Society. Tineke de Silva-Nijkamp, the founder/Principal, was knighted by the Dutch Queen Beatrix in 1996 for her work for the deaf children in Sri Lanka.
