I just got home 2 days ago after being in this great school for 7 weeks.
The best experience in my life.
Already I made other people curious about the school. One of my babysitting children is going to do a project about the school for his own school. :)
He and his sister are (together with me) future volunteers!
The children and staff are great and I hope to come back soon.

Hoi Juf Tineke,
In 1976 was ik je leerling op de Huizingschool in Enschede. Misschien ken je me nog? Ik was de eerste (bijna) dove leerling op deze school.
Ik woon (nog steeds) in Giesbeek, samen met een dove man. We hebben 2 kinderen, een zoon van 12 en een dochter van 9 (beiden zijn niet doof).
Zelf werk ik al bijna 18 jaar bij Menzis in Wageningen, als adminstratief medewerkster.
Ik ben er trots op dat je een school voor doven bent begonnen in Sri Lanka!
