A cleaning up (Shramadana) of the school garden with the parents for the new School Term on Sunday, September 2nd, 2018.
A big group of the parents arrived after the holidays on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. with their deaf children to clean up the school garden. In most of the schools in Sri Lanka they ask the help of the parents because of the dengue fever problem. Infected mosquitos who lay their eggs in water.
There was a nice atmosphere, the parents talked to each other and after 2 hours the work was finished. There were drinks with cake and a banana.
The deaf pupils stayed in school when the parents left, as the lessons start on Monday, September 3rd.
